i actually got my first ever geodes today the nat geo 10 premium geodes and must say I was fairly disappointed..most were not geodes but in fact solid inside..of course without a saw it was extremely hard to open them and then end up with mostly fragments..never again

I thought I heard you say something about one of the geotes as smelling like Sulphur? Did I hear you correctly? If so, do all geots have a sulphur smell? I'm currently watching it for the 2nd time to find where you said that. You said that at about 3 to 3:13. I think you might of been referring to a non-geote as smelling like Sulphur? I'm confused. LOL.

youll need a respirator rater for that HCl though that mask wont help but good you outside

Oh ya they will bubble for days- u can leave them in for a day up to 3- I think cuz it gets more of the calsite off. But don’t do it for too long many cuz then it’s to much.

Instead of cutting the standard shapes, have you ever freeformed any of the cut-off larger scraps? Many, many years ago after learning how to cut the standard shapes, those became boring and freeforming the stones was more pleasing for me. Also, since I designed my jewelry, I wasn't using pre-made settings.

Bless you for this. I recently bought a 42" Wheeler Rex off of eBay and of course there were no instructions. I have about 150 thundereggs from the Baker Egg Mine south of Deming New Mexico, from 1/2" to 14" and I can't afford to fix my saws, so I am counting on the folks from Wheeler...... and you.

Do you find any geodes with celestite or very sparkly quartz? The flat rocks by any chance were some of those feldspar?
